Set in 1899 New York City, Newsies follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who dreams of a better life. When powerful publishers raise newspaper prices at the expense of the newsboys, Jack and his fellow “newsies” rally to fight for justice. With thrilling choreography and an unforgettable score by Alan Menken—including showstoppers like “King of New York” and “Seize the Day”—this high-energy musical celebrates resilience, friendship, and the power of standing up for what’s right.
